More Testing
A couple months had gone by since my original diagnosis. I was being as proactive as I could in getting my body to a more fertile state. I was staying consistent with my acupuncture, supplements and diet. I was due back to see my endocrinologist 6 weeks after my original diagnosis to go over some more recent blood work. I was about to find out if I had any genetic, chromosome, or auto-immune disorders that might have played a factor into my ovarian failure. Great, on top of all of this I may have MORE medical issues. Because I am only 24, my doctor told me it was more than likely I did have more underlying issues that caused this. The day came for my appointment and much to everyone's surprise, everything came back negative! I had no disorders or auto-immune disease that they could find. I am completely healthy in every other aspect except for the ovarian failure. I am just one of the lucky few that got this and they have no explanation why. I was relieved to say the least but still angry at my body for doing this to me! I also received the news that my FSH levels had dropped from 127.3 down to 84.1 in just 6 weeks! Great news! ( We ideally want it to be below 10) I must be doing something right, this was the best appointment I'd had since receiving my diagnosis in July. Now I just need to find a fertility specialist who has some faith that we can find at least ONE egg left in my basket ;)
